Hey guys, welcome back to Stand-Up Sunday, our weekly blog dedicated to introducing you some of the funniest modern day stand-up comedians around. It doesn’t matter if they’re already popular, rising stars, or relatively unknown – we’ll be bringing them to your attention every week!

Today’s Stand-Up Sunday spotlights Mike Birbiglia. Mike rose to fame  in 2006 with his second stand up special, “My Secret Public Journal Live .” It was referred to as one of the best comedy albums of the year. Mike would later follow up with an off-Broadway show “Sleepwalk With Me“, which The New York Times called “simply perfect.” He has toured the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

In addition to doing stand up, Mike is also an actor, producer, and director.  His feature film debut earned him the “Best of NEXT” award and was selected in the “Festival Favorites” at the SXSW Festival.
