Welcome back for another edition of Sunday Stand-Up, our weekly blog dedicated to introducing you some of the funniest modern day stand-up comedians around. It doesn’t matter if they’re already popular, rising stars, or relatively unknown – we’ll be bringing them to your attention every week!

Today’s Sunday Stand-Up spotlights famous comedian Louis C.K. You may have heard of his self titled series, Louie, which features his stand-up comedy along with reenactments of things that happened to him in life. Louis first took the stage in 1984 at an open-mic bar, but didn’t achieve success until later on. In the next decade, he would perform on many TV programs, including every major late night show and even getting his own HBO specials in 1996, 2005, 2007, and again in 2012. He has worked with many famous comedians like Jerry Seinfeld and Denis Leary, while also having his own tours of the U.S to promote his act.

Nowadays you can find Louis making guest appearances on popular shows and on FX, where his show “Louie” has earned him much success and popularity, along with 2 Emmy nominations.
